Pastor Collette Broady Grund, Associate Pastor

Born and raised in Wasilla, Alaska, I was an active member of a Lutheran congregation from a very young age. When I moved away to attend Pacific Lutheran University, I tried out a variety of other churches, but came back to the ELCA because of its strong emphasis on grace and the priesthood of all believers (including women!). By my senior year in college, I was aware that God was calling me to become a pastor, though it would take a few more years for me to fully accept that call.

I attended the Lutheran School of Theology in Chicago, and was ordained at my home congregation in Wasilla in July of 2004. Since then, I’ve served congregations in Chicago, central Pennsylvania, Pemberton, Good Thunder, and Mankato, MN.

I’m married to Marrett (yes, our names rhyme!), and have two step-daughters Cameron and Kendall, a step-son Caden, and a son Ollie. We are also expecting a baby girl in late January 2017. I am so pleased to live among God’s faithful people here at Bethlehem, and am consistently amazed at what God is up to in Mankato.
