Family Faith Formation Samples

Holy Moly Image.jpg

Holy Moly is a funny video-enriched series of lessons on bible stories, geared for tweens. Our fall series of stories will follow the Narrative Lectionary which we'll be using in worship, starting with Genesis in September and leading up to the story of Jesus' birth at Christmas.

Spark Active Faith:Rotation

Rotating though Art, Science, Cooking, Music, Games and Drama stations, children in Kindergarten thru 4th grade will engage the story in a different way each week. Preschool students, starting at 3 years old, also follow this curriculum, but stay in the same classroom every week.

Living the word

Following dinner and worship, we gather in three age groups downstairs to learn more about the bible story we heard in worship. Preschoolers, K-3rd, and 4th-8th graders will you different versions of a new curriculum called Living the Word, which is also based on the Narrative Lectionary.

Re:form Ancestors

Confirmation at Bethlehem is for 7th, 8th, and 9th graders, and begins with worship every Wednesday night at 6 p.m. After worship, we move to the Heritage room for Class. We will be using the same curriculum as last year, Re:Form Ancestors. We will engage the stories though video, small and large group activities.

Half Truths

BY (Bethlehem Youth) Today is our new Wednesday evening experience for 10th-12th grades, which happens at the same time as Confirmation. Beginning September 14th, we'll meet in the youth room for discussion and cooking/eating. Our discussion will focus on Adam Hamilton's book Half Truths, which is about the things Christians often say that are not actually in the bible (like, "God won't give you more than you can handle!").
